Uppingham School founded in 1584 is one of Britain’s leafing co-educational independent boarding schools. It is located in the small market town of Uppingham, amid the rolling fields of Rutland.
Position: Senior Theatre Technician
Location: Uppingham, Rutland (Commutable from Leicester, Peterborough, Kettering, Corby & surrounding areas)
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Sunday as required by the needs of the department, 32 weeks term time plus 4 weeks (36 weeks per year)
Salary: £23,000 per annum

About the role:
The Senior Theatre Technician supports the Artistic Director with quality, delivery and success of the School’s theatrical performance programme. You will be responsible for theatre productions, ensuring School staff are appropriately trained and line manage Theatre Technicians.
The ideal candidate will have sound and lighting experience, familiarity with the culture and organisational structures of Schools, computer literate, strong communications skills. You will be confident, organised, possess the capability to analyse and improve systems and offer a flexible approach to working hours.
