Are you an experienced teacher or newly qualified teacher looking for a new challenge in a truly unique and rewarding environment?

Due to increasing student numbers, we are looking for outstanding classroom practitioners to join our multi-disciplinary team.
Previous SEN experience including having worked with pupils / students with PMLD is desirable, but not essential. What matters to us is that you have a passion for helping children and young people with complex needs reach their full potential. We will provide full induction, training and support to those who come from a mainstream teaching background.
- Have qualified teaching status in the UK.
- Can lead class groups in all aspects of the curriculum.
- Think creatively and can engage positively with pupils with a broad range of highly complex needs.
- Can set and meet differentiated learning targets for individual pupils for various subjects.
- Can maximise learning opportunities and achievement for all.
- Can optimise the contribution of classroom support staff.
- Will work collaboratively and flexibly with multi-disciplinary colleagues towards delivering excellence.
- Have good IT skills.
St Elizabeth’s School, based on the Herts / Essex Border, is committed to providing high quality education, care and health services for young people with epilepsy, autism and complex needs. We offer a specialist non maintained residential / day provision for children and young people aged 5 – 19 years. We provide well-resourced classrooms, excellent residential facilities and opportunities for varied outdoor activities within our own extensive natural grounds.
If you are looking to relocate we offer subsidised on-site staff accommodation which is available for up to 2 years. We welcome applications from all parts of the country and have the facilities to hold initial interviews via Skype. We are located in beautiful countryside between Harlow & Bishops Stortford both of which have excellent transport links to London and Stansted Airport.
Informal visits are encouraged and can be accommodated within or outside the school day.
