Position: International Customer Liaison Officer

About the role: 

This role forms the link between our valuable customers and the various people and teams within the organisation who manufacture and fulfil the goods required. They will be part of creating an experience that will exceed customer expectations and help to build long term relationships with our partners. 

The role ensures that there is always someone who is a friendly and knowledgeable point of contact during order processing and fully involved when a customer needs to talk to someone or has any queries or needs. The person will need to be a fast thinker and have to ability to empathise with the customer in all situations. 

Any orders would be received by the post holder and distributed to the appropriate area of the company to get them processed, and then monitored closely to fulfil the customer’s experience. This will involve internal liaison with departments such as purchasing, quality, production and warehouse. 

This person will be a key office contact for international customers and will support and co-ordinate with the International Sales Manager whilst they are travelling and ensure that any support actions are carried out following these meetings, as well as co-ordinating travel arrangements. 

About you: 

In this role we require a pro active, self-starter, and a great communicator who will soon get to know our group of international customers and be in regular contact with them and recognise their requirements plus needs. 

You will need to be fully IT literate and preferably familiar with Sage in order to keep the customer database current and to be able to interrogate the system. The ability to conduct research both online and via the telephone will be key to helping identify potential new sales targets.
