Children’s Hospice South West (“CHSW”) provides specialist palliative care for children and young people with life-shortening conditions across the South West. We have three very special hospices, Little Bridge House in North Devon, Charlton Farm in North Somerset and Little Harbour in Cornwall, all offering families an opportunity for respite and relaxation, laughter and friendship, as well as expert palliative and terminal care.
Our hospices are places full of love and laughter, where families can begin to forget their worries for a while, be a family again and receive the very best care for their child.
Position: Lottery Membership Representative - South West
Location: Devon, Somerset, Cornwall
Job type: Part Time, Permanent
Hours: 21 hours per week (worked between 10.00 to 20.00, with occasional weekend working)
Salary: £8,965 (£15,796 FTE) (pro rata) plus commission / bonus if a Representative exceeds basic performance targets of 7 memberships a week (1 secured every 3 hours worked, average over the period of a month), £9.00 will be paid on each of those additional memberships)

Are you enthusiastic about the work we do in supporting our local community? Do you enjoy meeting people and enthusing them to get involved? Do you have a natural talent for sales?
Working within the local community representing CHSW, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to promote our work at locations (homes and businesses) across the South West.
You will recruit new members for and raise awareness of the Children’s Hospice ‘Raise a Weekly Smile’ Lottery.
You will be part of a fully supported team raising awareness of children’s hospice care as well as encouraging the community to support us by taking part in a weekly £1 per number lottery - our ‘Raise a Weekly Smile’ draw.
Your approach will be professional and sensitive as our reputation is of paramount importance, and to support you in this, you will be fully trained to the standards we require.
You will have excellent communication and customer service skills and an outgoing personality. You will need to be able to strike up rapport with everyone you meet and ideally have door to door or face to face experience, although training will be given.
An understanding and empathy towards children’s charities will be a distinct advantage and you must feel passionately about the work of hospices.
