Role overview:

St Elizabeth’s Centre is a specialist Centre providing holistic care together with learning, leisure and other opportunities for adults and children with severe epilepsy, learning difficulties and complex health needs. 

Position: Physiotherapist 
Location: Much Hadham, Hertfordshire (commutable from Bishop’s Stortford, Hertford, Harlow and surrounding areas) 
Job type: Full Time, Permanent 
Hours: 37.5 hours per week 
Salary: £30,136 to £33,355 per annum depending on experience

About the role: 

We are looking for a very special physiotherapist to join our busy multi-disciplinary health care services team operating on our 68 acre site which is home to around 240 residential and day users of our services. Our teams work across our specialist services within the Centre so the role is varied, providing professional support to service users in our adult services, college, school and children’s home. 

What matters most to us most are your excellent general professional skills and your approach to our very special services users in this unique operating environment. Ideally, we would like our new team member to have post graduate experience in neurology and learning difficulties with autistic spectrum disorders and PMLD. 

You will be carrying out physiotherapy assessments and develop, implement and monitor individualized treatment programmes. Although part of a supportive team, and working to our Lead Physiotherapist, you will be working autonomously, taking responsibility for your own caseload. You will also assist with the supervision of our team of therapy assistants. 


- Provide a clinical service to adults & children in their academic and residential settings. 
- Carry out assessments / target setting. 
- Work closely with others in our multidisciplinary heath team, as well as our dedicated care and support staff, teachers, lecturers and academic support works, who interact on a day to day basis with our services users 
- Contribute to service users’ annual and transition reviews. 
- Support the supervision of students on clinical placements. 
- Previously have supervised therapy assistants. 

About you: 

HCPC and CSP registration is essential.
