About the role:
Are you a skilled finance professional who likes to make everything count?
Reporting to the Head of Financial Services the Financial Accountant will ensure transactions are accurately accounted for and that there is a robust reporting of the financial position both internally and externally.
You will produce the individual company statutory accounts and consolidated group accounts and co-ordinate the management accounts, reporting pack and reporting to directors and executives. You will also be responsible for the production of financial information for statutory and regulatory financial returns, setting and managing timetables for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, and for budget setting and maintain a system of quality assurance over financial processes both within the department and across the wider business.
The Successful candidate will hold a recognised professional accountancy qualification (may consider strong QBE) and have experience within a finance setting, ideally within a regulated environment.
You will have experience of preparing statutory accounts, report writing within a financial system to extract financial data, reconciliations, and manipulating large volumes of data for multiple scenarios. Strong IT skills and proficiency in excel are essential.
You must be able to travel between sites and to meet external commitments which may include working flexibly and when needed outside normal working hours.
You may have experience of the following: Financial Accountant, Company Accountant, Management Accountant, Project Accountant, Financial Accountant, Accounts Assistant, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, Housing Association, Social Housing etc.
