Position: Goods-in / Dispatch Controller

About the role: 

Principally the Dispatch Goods In staff are responsible for all aspects of the overall management of the way materials are regulated, stored, and moved to the locations where they are required to meet needs of the business. The Dispatch Goods In staff will be required to manage the movement of materials, products, and consumables. 


Dispatch: Arranging outbound couriers / customer collections / internal van runs, Packaging items for dispatch & Despatching of finished goods, in line with company procedure, from the companies Sage system. 

Goods In: Liaising with suppliers over delivery slots, unloading vehicles with materials as they arrive on site (fork lift license is essential), & booking the items into stock and matching to the purchase order. 

Stock Control: Cycling stock ensuring oldest goes out first, doing stock takes when scheduled with finance, identifying any other stock related issues whether damage, errors, not received or receipt discrepancies or chasing missing paperwork as well as monitoring usage and proactively reporting / addressing potential shortages. 

About you: 

- Computer literate including Microsoft excel. 
- Sage or similar software experience. 
- Administrative experience. 
- Valid forklift license. 
- A flexible approach and strong prioritizing skills are key. 
- Experienced in the control and management of materials from receipt at warehouse through to distribution to required site location. 
- Good working knowledge of material systems, process controls, warehousing and coordination within the Automotive Industry. 
- Proven ability to work to demanding project schedules.
