Position: Media Officer
Location: Crutched Friars, London, EC3N 2AE
Contract type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 35 per week (plus out of hours on-call availability)
Salary: £32,908 actual per annum

Our media campaigns inspire action and drive change. Have you got what it takes to build on our success so far? We are looking for a dynamic and creative media officer to join our award-winning team. The successful candidate will work in our busy press office in central London, helping to build a high impact, positive media profile for the charity and our fundraising and community engagement campaigns.
You will be an experienced Media Officer with a passion for improving the lives of people with dementia. In this role, you’ll specialise in supporting the promotion of our fundraising and engagement work, devising and executing media campaigns that promote Alzheimer’s Society’s fundraising activities – including our exciting flagship events Memory Walk and Cupcake Day, our growing social action movements Dementia Friends and Dementia Friendly Communities and our vital services for people affected by dementia.
You will possess a great news sense and a flair for spotting and placing strong stories. You must have experience of working with the national media, excellent communication skills, the ability to plan campaigns and the desire to work in a busy press team committed to making a difference.
