Job title:Credit Controller
Location: Strixton (Nr Wollaston), Northamptonshire
Job type:Part time
Role overview:
Credit Controller (20-25 hours per week)
A little about us:
Established in 1999 and located in the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside we are a well-established business in the recruitment industry (we provide our own software, advertising & agency services). We turn over £6-7M pa & have about 60 staff. We like to think we have an excellent reputation and a great working environment – hopefully you’ll be able to judge this for yourself.
Your new role?
We are currently looking to appoint a confident and articulate Credit Controller. There will be important responsibilities like maintaining & reconciling the debtor ledger & providing reports for our management team but fundamentally we need someone to work with our customers to ensure they pay us when they’re supposed to.
The ideal person will be looking for work on a part time basis. We envisage this person will need to work circa 20-25 hours per week. This may increase in time. How the hours are structured is down to you so long as they’re within 9-5 & the key deadlines are achieved.
What we are looking for:
Ideally you will have a background working in a similar role but we are primarily looking for someone articulate & confident. To gel with the finance team you’ll be energetic, have a positive attitude and a focus on problem solving. Obviously you’ll be willing to jump on the ‘phone, be happy to chase people for payments, have a strong attention to detail, a head for systems (Excel is essential, having experience with Xero would be great) and a natural willingness to take on responsibility. Would also be extremely helpful if you like dogs (we have a dog)!
We’re based in a bunch of converted barns in a tiny hamlet called Strixton. Strixton is roughly 5 miles south of Wellingborough on the A509. Our current staff come from Northampton, Kettering, Bedford, Rushden, Olney and parts of Milton Keynes.
What you’ll get in return:
In return you will get the opportunity to develop your career with a growing and ambitious business that recognizes when people contribute to our success. You will get to work closely with our amazing Head of Finance & our superb Office Manager … and Jasper the dog, mustn’t forget the dog! We’ll also pay you competitively.
