Position: Operations Manager 
Location: Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent

About the role: 

You’ll be responsible for motivating, inspiring and developing our Team Leaders to maximise service delivery for our customers whilst creating a great place to work for our people. You will promote a customer focussed culture and strong employee engagement, by recognising potential and developing talent. 

You will work closely with internal customers like our Workforce Planning Team to maintain capacity plans and identify opportunities to maximise our team’s performance. External customers and wholesalers will also be your key contacts so the ability to develop strong relationships in writing and face to face is essential. 

You will be a pioneer, looking for continuous improvement opportunities and efficiencies we can make in all that we do. This is an opportunity to make a real difference and contribute to the success of our business by being agile, flexible and accountable to the demands of the role. 

About you: 

- A minimum of 5 years in a people leadership role within a customer service environment, ideally managing other People Leaders 
- Workforce / capacity planning for an operational department 
- Managing a departmental budget would be beneficial 
- Talent management including development planning 
- Operations Management experience, ideally in a call centre, utilities, retail or hospitality environment
