Position: Membership Systems Project Specialist
Location: Cambridge (Commutable from Cambridge North, Milton, Ely, Swavesy, Histon & Impington, Oakington, Fenstanton, St Ives, Cambridgeshire, Huntingdon, Newmarket, Saffron Walden, St Neots, Bedford, Hitchin, Stevenage, Bury St Edmunds and surrounding areas)
Job type: Full Time, up to 24 months Fixed Term Contract
Hours: 35 hours per week, subsidised staff restaurant, staff sports and social club
Salary: £36,252 to £40,280 per annum plus benefits

About the role:
The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) has an opportunity for a Membership Systems Project Specialist to join us on a temporary basis for up to 24-months, based at our Science Park Cambridge office (free onsite parking and close to public transport).
As Membership Systems Project Specialist for the Royal Society of Chemistry, you will act as systems manager for business critical membership systems (currently iMIS, CSeries & FileDirector). You will be responsible for the assessment; maintenances and development of processes to ensure systems are being used to their full potential and are in-line with the membership departments business needs.
You will also be responsible for ensuring that all membership wide projects linked with systems and ICT are delivered in a timely and effective manner. These projects will be those that directly relate to ensuring a high level of customer service is delivered to our members at all times. Coordinating all business critical membership ICT projects in conjunction with membership and ICT, you will be responsible for liaising with third party providers / contractors and ensuring that they fulfil their commitments.
In this key role for the Royal Society of Chemistry, you will develop plans and ensure timely delivery of membership projects and to investigate and take forward the implementation of new products in conjunction with membership, ICT, finance and other stakeholders. You will also ensure that all data held is maintained and work with other stakeholders to ensure data integrity is maintained at all times.
- Specialist knowledge or exposure to project processes
- Experience in project management and ICT processes
- Some knowledge of membership and financial systems in use at the RSC
- An understanding or knowledge of best practice in project coordination and appropriate methods
- Experience in accessing requirements specifications
- Experience in establishing quality services from external suppliers
- Good communication skills
- Ability to identify a range of options and opportunities for cost containment
