The Salvation Army Housing Association (Saha) is a registered housing association that seeks to transform lives through the delivery of high quality housing and support services. 

Position: Project Worker- Supported Housing 
Location: Newhaven 
Hours: 40 hours per week on a rota 
Contract: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract 
Salary £18,180

About the role: 

The role involves working closely with young people to provide support and advice to enable them to achieve independent living. As identifying and addressing their needs forms a vital part of the job, you will need to work effectively with the whole Foyer team. 

This is an exciting opportunities for you to use your experience and knowledge of supported housing to really make a difference to people’s lives. 

About You: 

You should be an excellent communicator with an approachable nature and capable of dealing with vulnerable tenants in a calm and understanding way. You will also need to have the ability to offer young people support with housing, employment, counselling and welfare benefits. 

Every day brings new challenges within the Newhaven Foyer Team and so you will need to be innovative, have the ability to work under pressure and possess the drive, passion and commitment to change lives. 

You may have experience of the following: Youth Worker, Housing Officer, Homeless Project Worker, Accommodation Manager, Young Offenders, Social Worker, Care Home, Sheltered Housing, Community Support, Accommodation Allocation etc.
