About the role
We are recruiting two new PA/Coordinator roles, one for the Director of Marketing and Communications and one for the Director of Campaigns and Partnerships. The two roles have identical job descriptions but the Director and the teams they support will be quite different in what they deliver.
PA/Coordinator to Director of Marketing and Communications
The Society recently implemented a bold new brand identity and is creating a new Marketing and Communications directorate, in recognition of how vital a role the function will play in galvanising people behind the growing movement for change and meeting the ambitious objectives set out in the New Deal in Dementia, our new five-year strategy.
This pivotal post reports to the Director of Marketing and Communications and is a member of the Marketing and Communications Team. It supports the director in ensuring that members of the Marketing and Communications teams are engaged and are active participants in the work of the whole directorate and the wider Society.
In addition to providing administrative support to the director, including diary management, the role supports the implementation of Marketing and Communications initiatives. As applicable, it will also lead and/or contribute to projects agreed in the directorate Business Plan.
PA/Coordinator to Director of Campaigns and Partnerships
The Society recently created a new Campaigns and Partnerships directorate. This role is provide PA support to the director, coordination to the Leadership team and directorate and will also work alongside colleagues in the whole directorate which is delivering new exciting campaigns and key national projects in awareness and influencing. Our vision is of a world without dementia.
This pivotal post reports to the Director of Campaigns and Partnerships and is a member of the Campaigns and Partnerships team. It supports the director in ensuring that members of the Campaigns and Partnerships teams are engaged and are active participants in the work of the whole directorate and the wider Society.
In addition to providing administrative support to the director, including diary management, the role supports the implementation of Campaigns and Partnerships initiatives. As applicable, it will also lead and/or contribute to projects agreed in the directorate Business Plan.
The successful candidates will have demonstrable experience as a PA or in an administrative role, with excellent organisational skills, be experienced in leading projects, have demonstrably strong written communication skills and be technologically literate. They will have excellent judgement, discretion and strong interpersonal skills and a confident approach in dealing with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders to board level. They will also have a questioning, coaching approach to enable others.
These are key roles; where the post holders can make a very real and lasting impact on how the directorates operate, support and shape the work of the organisation in playing a key role in uniting against dementia.
