Position: Senior User Researcher 
Location: Plymouth, Devon 
Job type: Full-time, part-time and flexible working (working a minimum of 30 hours per week over five days) 
Contract: Permanent 
Salary: £34,313 per annum

About the role: 

It’s an exciting time to join HM Land Registry’s digital team. We have ambitious plans to become a world-leading digital registration business and to do this we’re increasing our user-centred design capabilities. 

Working within cross-functional digital delivery teams, you’ll make sure our services are simple and intuitive for users. You’ll already have a proven track record of carrying out high-quality user research and translating it into insights that create and improve digital services. 

About you: 

Successful candidates will have experience with user-centred practices and will have an awareness and understanding of how digital technologies are changing user behaviour. You will be skilled in a range of user research methods and will be able to turn research data into actionable insights to inform decisions. 

Ideally, you’ll hold a degree in market research, psychology, sociology, or related social sciences. Experience of agile working delivering user-focused digital services and an understanding of the different technical roles in a digital team would also be highly advantageous. 

You may have experience of the following: User Researcher, User Experience Researcher, UX Designer, User Experience Engineer, UI Lead, Web Project Manager, Agile, Public Sector, Central Government, etc.
