About the role:
Collinson Grant is looking for skilled management consultants wishing to extend their experience and take on more responsibility for leading assignments and building effective relationships with clients. You will work in small teams on diverse and challenging assignments. Our approach is analytical, pragmatic and most of all focused on successful implementation. We work collaboratively with clients to design practical solutions and to build consensus for change in processes, systems and operating models. We expect to offer an excellent return for the investment in our services.
We work in many distribution, manufacturing and service businesses – on projects lasting several months or with a shorter timescale. An increasing proportion of our work includes digital transformation. There is close engagement with clients and an emphasis on providing robust and tangible results. On larger projects you may find yourself working directly with a senior colleague but on other occasions you might lead a small team or work on your own.
There will be considerable travel to clients throughout the UK and sometimes further afield. Candidates ideally should live between Manchester and Birmingham.
We think this opportunity will suit someone with proven management consultancy skills. You may be looking for additional responsibility and the ability to use your skills whilst working more closely alongside senior staff in clients. It is an opportunity for an ambitious and talented practitioner with considerable experience to move into a more senior role. First and foremost you should have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and be a first class communicator in the written and spoken word. The ability to maintain and build relationships with demanding clients is essential.
You will ideally have an excellent degree from a Russell Group university. Substantial line-management experience in a large organisation will also be useful.
In addition, you should be able to demonstrate:
- the personal credibility to work with senior managers, directors and chief executives of large organisations
- a sound commercial instinct
- a passion for business development and an unqualified desire to build long-term relationships.
